Defending Soldan

I am writing this basically because I was shocked to see the 3/5 bone rating. I have lived and visited dog parks all over the country and this is ONE OF THE BEST public dog parks. The long runs, woods, lake and people make it a great place for dogs to really be dogs. Yes there is a fee, and there should be. Unregulated access to dog parks in cities is never a good idea. One person left a bad review because it's basically $10/day for park and dog park entrance. That's true, but if you buy a year pass to the dog park ($30) and an Ingham county parks year pass ($30) you make you money back in 6 visits AND have access to ALL of Ingham County's wonderful parks for a full year. The other negative reviews were about aggressive dogs/people (that's gonna unfortunately happen periodically at any dog park on Earth), muddy conditions (dress appropriately, you're at a dog park AND there is a dog washing station near the entrance), lack of access to the lake (not true, not sure what that person is talking about) and crowding (this can be a problem sometimes. Best bet if you work during the week is to come as close to givte as you can or later close to dusk. The weekends are in the morning or, again, close to dusk). In short, agree a long review, it's a great dog park. See you there! 🐶💚
