Moderate Difficulty Trails Practically In-Town!

Clegg Memorial Garden

This is a great little park and I love coming here for a quick, practically in-town adventure with my dogs! Within a minute you can be parked and out on the trails! Even during busier times, the trails are spread out enough that it's still difficult to run into other people. Many of the trails tend to be narrow due to the fact the garden is situated on a hillside (many are no more than 3-4' wide). The trails are NOT flat and there are many inclines and stairs; if you walk the trails at a decent pace, you will be winded unless you're in great shape! Although there are some nice outlooks and benches for resting, this is probably not the best place to go if you're looking for a leisurely stroll. Also the trails are mostly gravel and dirt, and although you don't need to avoid the garden when it's wet out, you might want to take some extra towels with you.

The parking lot itself is a small gravel lot that's across the road from the entrance; it's easy to miss! The garden is run by a local non-profit and they do a great job at maintaining it. I recommend going at different times of the year to see the garden come to life differently each season! Please ensure both you and your dog stay on the trails to protect this unique location!
