In nice part of town
Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis EastHotel was almost finished with renovation. Room and lobby were nice, clean, and comfortable. Room was quiet and both my dog and I slept very well. Hotel is in a nice area of east Memphis, across from a newer commercial area and near residential neighborhood. Gracious front desk clerk, and friendly staff. Grass areas around the hotel that pets can use. Elevators and stairwells at ends of hotel with easy access to parking. Very pleasant experience and would happily stay here again.
Fine for one night
Super 8 by Wyndham Conference Center NAU/DowntownA little run down, and grass area wasn’t very clean from prior dog owners who hadn’t picked up after their dogs. Room was decent and beds were comfortable. Safe area. Just needed one night passing through on a road trip, and this sufficed.
A little run down
Days Inn by Wyndham TucumcariThis motel has seen better days. Exterior door lock didn’t work (desk clerk said that happens when it is cold, and it was cold). Used interior door instead, which did work. No shower curtain. Water had a slight sulfur smell. Big dirt lot behind motel worked as a pet area. Fine for one night but wouldn’t want to stay longer than that.
Newly renovated
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Dallas UptownLobby and rooms all newly renovated and nice. On a busy road so front rooms might be loud. We stayed in back where rooms were quiet. Denny’s restaurant next door had some small grass patches dog could use. Adjacent to a nice, single-family home neighborhood that was great for dog walking. Close to downtown and priced affordable. Great option for proximity to downtown plus exterior doors to rooms for ease of dog walking.
