A roof over our heads

The adage "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. This hotel is very mid. While clean, it needed updating and repairs. The shower curtain had giant holes, the pillows were ball-shaped and filled with old foam chunks that were breaking down, one bed squeaked horribly every time you moved, and ice machines and vending machines were out of order. We ended up checking out much earlier than anticipated because no one slept all night and we just wanted our own beds. I have nothing to add about having our dog there. Our 85 lb Pyrenees was allowed, for a fee, which was great and why we chose this hotel. But that was it. No welcome package or anything for her. We were on the 3rd floor in the middle of a very long hallway with stairs only at either end.
