STAY AWAY

If you are not interested in being completely remote, stay FAR AWAY from this AirBNB. If you are interested in being a pool cleaner, house keeping, chef and want to walk over a mile to the nearest market, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away from this area!

Over 1 mile from any stores, restaurants, bars, civilization, etc. HORRIBLE WiFI connection. Only works in the main living room downstairs. 35- 40 minutes to the nearest beach. No developed roads at all. Rough terrain to get out of the "jungle," neighbors blew a tire trying to get out. These roads alone take 20 minutes to get through. Airbnb is in the middle of a construction zone with several code violations.

A car is NECESSARY as taxis either refuse to come here. No taxis will pick you up, you have to walk to main road over 1 mile away to catch a cab, and charge $40-60+ for a one-way ride back. NO CELL SERVICE AT ALL. Host is not responsive and shows little to no concern for guests. No accommodations for elderly or children (no cribs/playpen). Also piles of rocks to cover hole in ground next to the pool, meaning I had to hold my kids 24/7 (my arms hurt).

It's like camping because the home is so exposed to the outdoors that the floors and pool get filthy. The gate for the driveway had an electrical shock every time it opened/closed because the electrical barbed wire was improperly installed. Pool was filled with leaves daily and had to be cleaned several times a day; the pool water was also freezing.

Towels bled all over our white underwear/clothes and stained them also left lint behind on skin. Also, 1 house towel per guest for 1 week! Absurd. Also no extra sheets. No washer/dryer in the house, dishwasher was delivered dirty and was not cleaning dishes properly, left behind an odor and was hanging off the cabinet anytime you opened it. Lots of hand-washing here. Ant hills throughout backyard covered by fake grass. Red ants got my 2-year-old who is allergic to them.

Ultimately, we felt the property was way overpriced for the lack of amenities, poor quality of their appliances and towels, WIFI was 2/10 at best, no cell service and an completely inconsiderate host who refused to respond to our messages and passed the buck to Airbnb. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Save yourself a headache go somewhere else.
