Great for the dogs, falls a bit short for the humans, still good

Although had several problems this time (and a few last time), I look forward to staying here again. Had a terrific night clerk who had just come on when I arrived about 4:00 pm, super helpful.
CONS:
- The poop yard was filthy. Lots of dog owners not picking up after their dogs even though bags are provided, and staff did not clean the area from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning. Empty booze bottles, trash too..
- My bed had biting insects (NOT bed bugs). Got a linen change.
- Room stank of cigarette smoke, Got changed to another room that was better but still had old cigarette stink.
- Smoke detector had been pulled out of the wall and disabled. Got fixed fast but should have been caught.
- Prepaid two nights, got locked out after checkout time after the first night.
PROS:
- Ground floor rooms with plenty of room for multiple crates
- Lots of green space to potty dogs
- Red Roof provides poop bags and a raised depository to take the full bags
- Very comfortable beds
- Great shower
- Plenty of hot water
- Rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.
- Good value and so friendly to pet owners!
