Very Pleasant Surprise!!

After a series of terrible pet-friendly stays, we were very pleased with this La Quinta. Rooms are modern and clean, bath especially so. All well maintained with the exception of stained carpet which should be replaced with vinyl or something more cleanable in my opinion. The bed was clean and comfy. No smell at all in the room which was very welcome as other pet-friendly places we have tried were heavily dosed with deodorizing spray. No first floor rooms but we were on the second floor and inconvenience was minor. I would have loved to see a fenced-in area where dogs could get some exercise after traveling but there is only a small patch of grass for doggie toileting. The staff is very agreeable as well. Lots of nearby restaurants with decent takeout. I would definitely stay here again.
