Excellent, HUGE Dog Park
Dog Park at Lafreniere ParkHave only been able to come to this park during peak hours (early evening after worK) and it has been outstanding! Large in size, separate space for small and large dogs and the large dog area is huge and has a walking path around it! Always well stocked with bags, has an enclosed dog washing station with drain and is a small part of an overall excellent park system. Would recommend at any time if dog is social.
Good for What It Is
Wisner Dog ParkThe park is small in size but good for what it is overall, which is that it's a fenced area that dogs can play at in a residential setting. Only compliant was no grass, it's all just dirt, which can damage paws if playing too long. Street parking and did have water on-site. Would recommend going during non-peak hours (early mornings and evenings) as it can get quite full during peak hours (after work-early evenings/weekends).
One of the Best Dog Restaurants in New Orleans
Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & RestaurantOne of the best places to take the dog in New Orleans in terms of the overall experience. Good human food/drinks to go with dog friendly menu and water bowls brought right to the table. Really friendly staff as well. Outdoor seating is also available.
Dat Dog - Freret Location
Dat DogPlenty of outdoor seating with dog bowls but they do not allow the dogs inside and were pretty rude about it for a first-timer just poking their head in.
