Disappointed

A previous reviewer stated this was a great place because they helped her with a first time experience with her dog. NOT NOW. I told the reservationist AND the guys at the stand we had never paddle boarded, so of course, never with dogs. We struggled the entire time. I never tried to stand up and my husband and the dog went over 10 minutes in. They never offered assistance except to give my husband a life jacket. Then they brought me one but said I didn’t need to put it on - then why bother?? My husband never left the shore. Once he got the dog settled, he couldn’t get on. They only asked if we were done! What a bunch of jerks. I told them they were jerks (ok, not my exact words) and was told “to learn to paddle board before I came back” - like I’m going back.
There was not much beach open because they are relandscaping and replacing the pavers.
This is a small, clean lake that would be perfect for learning on. I was told their names are Isaiah, Ari, and Kyle - they need to find new jobs. They also were not giving instructions to the jet skiers. You could tell these folks were new to the machines, but no safety instructions were given. It’s Florida and personal injury law suits pay out well. These guys are going to get the company a doozie.
I’ve given it three stars hoping your experience is better than mine and the lake is great.
