Great For The Price
La Quinta by Wyndham Oceanfront Daytona BeachI’d like to start off by saying that I am 100% that person that reads reviews before staying anywhere. With that being said I also understand everyone will have a different experience. I stayed in the deluxe king room with the ocean front view and I honestly can’t complain. Yes it’s a little more, but it’s worth it. There’s a nice grassy area that’s right outside my room that makes it easy to take my dog in and out. Now, you have to remember you get what you pay for, so don’t expect everything to be perfect. My remote worked, TV, fridge, and microwave. Ladies at the front desk were polite and friendly to my dog. No they didn’t have treats, but I don’t expect a place to have treats for my dog. I bring my own. That’s a cherry on top if they do, but I’m not gonna knock a hotel if they don’t. The rooms need a little more tlc and the AC was a bit noisy. The room is a good size and everything was in order. I’m staying for a night and it’s perfectly fine. I gave it 4 stars because it definitely needs an all around thorough clean and it’s not perfect, but it most certainly is not the worst by any means! It’s right on the beach! I say (and this is coming from a picky person) if you’re on the fence about this place just book it. That’s what I did and I’m giving it a 4. It would be a 3.5 but I rounded up. If you’re not going to be in your room much and out and about with your pup this is a good spot. At the end of the day you never know until you book! I hope my review helps!

Great Time However Call Before You Go!
Joe's Crab ShackWe were lucky enough to eat here because our does is a service dog. They are dog friendly, HOWEVER if they close the roof or stop outside seating due to weather or wind then they DO NOT allow you to bring in your dog unless it is a service dog. I saw one family get turned away because they came in with their dog expecting to be seated inside to only find out that they closed the outdoor seating because they were expecting it to rain all day which it did not. So definitely call before you go just to make sure those tables are available because it would absolutely stink to make the trip to only get turned away.
