Good for dogs, less good for humans

Candlewood Suites Columbus - Grove City an IHG Hotel

They apparently allow dogs of any size here (we saw one that was the size of a small pony) and there are two well-kept dog areas with bags and cans, and dog treats at the front desk. Unfortunately, the pet fee ($75!) is a little high considering this is a budget chain that had a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and pots, a slow drain, cold showers, and a partial roll of toilet paper, with no spare(!) waiting for us at check in to our room. We reported the dirty dishes and the drain but nothing was done about it all day. (Though it was a holiday, so perhaps they were short-staffed.) The toaster burns your toast at all settings. There's free laundry, if you can ignore the filth of the laundry room and the awful smell of the washing machines. Be careful of the front entrance sliding door, because it hits hard if it catches you. The morning manager was super nice though, she comp'd us a night for our troubles. I still wouldn't go back.

Clean, friendly, quiet

Best Western Plus Spokane North

We enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely return. We also would recommend it to other dog parents.
