Not so great for dogs
Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte NorthlakeI love the Drury Inn and would give this one 5 bones if it had someplace to walk the dogs. But it is in a very busy shopping area, very close to busy roads and only has a teeny tiny potty area for the dogs. There was absolutely nowhere to safely walk. Other than that, it was wonderful. Friendly people at the front desk, comfortable, clean room, great breakfast. And even though the place was packed on the night we were there, our room was quiet.

Clean, plenty of walking areas
Best Western Plus Inn at Valley ViewNice, clean, comfortable room. Well lit outdoor areas to walk. Busy location in a mall area, lots of places to eat nearby. Room was quiet despite being on ground floor near a door. Would stay again.

Bare bones, clean, quiet
Super 8 by Wyndham Prattville MontgomeryNothing fancy here, but it was clean and comfortable. It is an older style hotel where the rooms open right to the outside. I was on the second floor on the front near the office and felt safe. There was adequate area to potty my dog, but no dog waste stations that I could see. It was very quiet at night. I would probably stay there again.

Decent, clean, short on walking areas
La Quinta by Wyndham Winston-SalemI was a little disturbed when I arrived because all the outside lights, including the La Quinta sign were off and it was REALLY dark in the parking lot. Luckily the lights came on after I'd been there about an hour. I felt much better about things after that! The hotel is in busy shopping/dining area, so the potty area was very small. I walked my dog on the sidewalks around the shopping area. The hotel potty area was also in need of a cleaning - despite there being a fully stocked poop bag station, lots of people had neglected to clean up after their pet. The room was OK, older with carpet. It smelled faintly of smoke even though it was a no smoking room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Even though the hotel was fully booked and I was on the first floor, it was not noisy. It was fine for a one night stay. I'd consider staying there again.

Nice room, OK potty areas
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham LebanonMy room was very comfortable and looked like it had recently been refurbished. The room was very clean. The potty areas were OK, but kind of small. The side doors and the potty areas could have used better lighting. The hotel is very close to the highway and you could hear road noise even inside. I felt mostly safe there, but one night there were beer bottles and pizza boxes next to the side door and people hanging out in the parking lot which made me a bit uneasy.

Lots of area to walk
La Quinta by Wyndham CullmanClean, friendly, well lit. Would stay there again. And just did stay there again! It was super clean, we felt very safe there, dogs enjoyed having good places to walk.

Some good qualities BUT....
Motel 6 Greensboro NC - AirportI have mixed feelings about this place. On the plus side, they had lots of area to potty the dogs, the room had a fridge, freezer, microwave, kitchen type sink and cabinet and a table Everything was clean. It was convenient to stores and restaurants. BUT it was very noisy ( I was on the ground floor and could hear every step the people upstairs took, as well as noise from the hallway). I was there for 3 nights and the room never got cleaned. They didn't even take the trash out. The main hallway smelled like smoke, the front desk rarely had someone at it because the people were all hanging out in the parking lot. In general, it sort of had a sketchy feel to it.

Bare Bones, Noisy, well lit
Motel 6 Starke FLit wasn't awful, but it was definitely no frills. Room was clean, but run down. There was a lot of noise all night long and the lights shone into the room. On the plus side, there was plenty of area to potty the dog and it was well lit. The reception desk people were very nice. If I had to stay there again I would ask for a room that did not open up into the parking lot. There are rooms that open up into a courtyard that might be better.

Very clean, very quiet
Drury Inn & Suites ValdostaThis was a very nice hotel. It had plenty of well lit areas to potty the dog. The room was super clean and nice and quiet. I felt very safe there. I'd stay again.

Wonderful hotel
Drury Inn & Suites Birmingham GrandviewThe hotel itself was great and very, very clean. Very welcoming. Well lit. My one complaint was that it didn't have much of an area to walk the dogs.

Great potty areas
