A hidden gem
Econo Lodge SocorroWe stayed here heading home to Arizona from Colorado—we had three adults and one medium sized doggo. The outside looks a bit worn down but the interior was really nice, modern and comfortable. Our room with two queen sized beds was actually quite large. They did have a nice grassy area (brown grass given it was winter, but grass nonetheless) and a large dirt lot towards the back. This was an easy on/easy off the interstate and a perfect spot for a quick stay. We did not partake in the free breakfast but I understand it wasn’t just pastries and coffee. We chose to go to the restaurant next door which offered a 10% discount if you showed your room key. We will definitely stay here again should our travels bring us near Soccoro again and we’ll plan our back and forth to Colorado with this spot to spend the night.
Perfect for a road trip overnight!
Days Inn by Wyndham BernalilloStopped here en route to Colorado from Arizona for the holidays and was very pleased with this hotel. Rooms were nice, staff was very helpful and pleasant, breakfast was a great surprise—make your own waffles, breakfast meats, cereals, juices, danishes, coffee—pretty impressive for a free breakfast! My only wish would be for a grassy area, but there were plenty of small spaces for my pup to find a spot to potty. Price was perfect and we will definitely choose this place again should our travel plans bring us this way again.
