Lots of grass
Hampton Inn Ottawa (Starved Rock Area)Lots of grass to walk and run your pup in around this place. If your dog is good enough to be off leash you could even throw a ball or a frisbee. This place was cozy, clean and quiet. We would totally stay here again.

Good stay and a trail
Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello an IHG HotelBehind the Starbucks is the entrance to the RTF? Trail. A great morning and evening walk along a creek.

No first floor rooms
La Quinta by Wyndham PaducahNo first floor rooms Except for handicapped accessible. This means you will be taking your dog out from the second or third floor. They have some weirdly striped carpet on the stairs which freaked our dogs out. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel with plenty of grassy areas to walk the dog. Very nice staff.
