Absolute Favorite with a Lake View and Great Food
Artemis Lakefront CafeArtemis, how I love thee!! A wonderful diverse Greek inspired menu—the lettuce wraps and gyros plate are particularly good. A very large outdoor patio, and a view of the lake. An extensive list of cocktails, wine and beer plus cappuccinos. Always dog friendly and they are plenty of corners with shade for the pup on the sun drenched patio. They will even serve me outside when the weather is less then nice and I am the only one who wants to be out there. Paid parking is available at a lot next door. Excellent ambiance, excellent food, excellent service, and excellent value. Try ordering the side of gyros lest for a dog treat $5 as of writing this review. Highly recommend. There is also a wonderful outdoor almost Caribbean style bar with several seats and room for a dog at your feet if you just want to stop for a cocktail.

Wanted so badly to love this place....
MacDuff's Public HouseIf you want to pay $90 for lunch for two people and two dogs to listen to cracks from your server (looks of disgust at us every time a new family came in and loud mutterings of can’t seat them next to the dogs with a big show of seating them away from us—only for the kids to immediately get up and pet our dogs—or for one couple seated by us, you are the only ones I can put at this table next to them) and the owner who has a mastiff (asking if my Bernese were going to bite him as he delivered the $90 of food—has a Bernese ever bitten anyone???) then by all means go here. I have a seven year old Bernese and a 4 month puppy that laid side by side next to our table. They did not bark, they did not move around. They chilled. Especially for a four month old puppy, it was exemplary behavior. At least 15 kids pet the dogs over the course of the meal with the dogs remaining well behaved and loving the attention—including an entire sports team that surrounded them as we left. It would be a great place I would recommend for people without dogs, but it is far too expensive and unwelcoming if you do have dogs. While I was there there were other dogs that the staff did not comment about, so apparently you have to be a local that they know for good service. Many local sports teams come here after games. I love the public house idea, and the food is quite good, but true to English food—bland. Ask for hot sauce. There is a large parking lot, excellent beer selection, and if you sit on the railing of the patio you can see the lake. But it was $15 each for the two burger patties ($30 total) for the dogs. Charged at the exact same price as if the fries etc were on the plate. If you want to enjoy your meal with your dog pass this restaurant by. There are so many restaurants in Tahoe that are truly dog friendly—go to one of them instead. Artemis, California Burger, Azul, Basecamp pizza, x Crows, Makeside Beach Bar, McPs... all will warmly welcome you and your dogs and have options for a treat you can order your dogs under $15.

Covered Patio, heaters, great pizza and live music!!
Base Camp Pizza Co.Basecamp Pizza and the others by the same partners (California Burger, Azul, akeside Beach Bar, X Crows BBQ, etc) all have the same familiar dog friendly DNA. Basecamp is a weekly visit for me, the live music is great. I alternate between the pepperoni pizza and the spaghetti, they have selection of craft beers, and they could not be more welcoming to my dogs. There are uncovered tables in the sun, but my favorite is the roofed outdoor Cove area. My type of inclement weather I head here or x Crows covered patio with my 2 large but very well behaved dogs. Super friendly staff, most of which are dog fanatics. They all seem to truly enjoy working there, and that carriers over onto their treatment of the customers. I highly recommend you check out Basecamp and the other restaurants by the same owners.

Awesome Food with a view of Heavenly Mountain
McP's TaphouseI love McPs and go here often. Even on a chilly or rainy day the staff is always happy to serve me outside if I have the dogs. The staff is amazing—super friendly, know the menu well, and responsive to any request. I have not had a bad meal here. The dogs are always welcomed with great fanfare,
And even better there is a parking ramp (paid) underneath.

Great Casual Meal
Izzy's Burger SpaWonderful burgers, I love the casual ambiance and I and the dogs always feel extremely welcome. Great for a quick and casual lunch. Highly recommend.
