Not what I was expecting

Econo Lodge

They are renovating and materials (boards, tile, toilets) are stacked along the wall near the rooms, along the building and near the parking lot. The building and appliances are old. Pool and fitness room are also being renovated. They do allow pets but be very careful where you walk them. We booked 2 nights but left early.

Offers 3 large fenced areas

Waggy World Paw Park at Wills Park

The park has 3 large fenced areas with 1 for large dogs and 1 for small dogs plus another center area. All areas are large and are half grass and half shaded with trees. Water is available. Mostly large dogs were there when we went and there were already several large dogs in the small dog section when we arrived. I prefer small dog playmates for my dog but the larger ones that were there were friendly. The park also offers a paved walking trail if you prefer to take your dog for a stroll.

Large and small dog areas

Sweat Mountain Park Dog Park

There are two separate areas for large and small dogs. Dirt surface with trees, tables, benches, and water. Gets messy around the water area and after a rain. We went on a hot day and only large dogs were out playing. There was a smell coming from the full trash cans at the entrance and we had to walk past swarms of bumble bees to enter the dog areas. The fence surrounding the dog areas seemed to be well maintained as did other areas of the park. Parking was available but it is hard to find when the park is busy.
