Excellent Vet

A friend who had a cat recommended Dr. Moulton to us. Dr. M has been taking care of our dogs since about 2013, so my wholehearted endorsement of her is long overdue. Dr. M initially started treating one of our labs, who had a multitude of health issues. I believe that her expertise not only extended our lab's life for the better, but her quality of life, as her physical and mental vitality were transformed. Our lab was about 10 when we met Dr. M, and based on Dr. M’s diagnosis and advice, our girl was much more easily able to get around with her cold laser treatments and supplements - in fact she was happy and energetic beyond her 14th birthday, which is old for a lab, especially one with all her challenges. When that difficult-horrible-no-good day arrived, the frantic call to Dr. M was greeted with incredible responsiveness and compassion (even though she was on vacation). Dr. M. was able to help us say goodbye to our baby at home with the grace and dignity she deserved. We use Dr. M as our vet for the routine as well as the emergency oh-no-what-should-we-do items and she is incredibly responsive and reliable - we could not be more pleased with her guidance. She stays current and trained on all the latest veterinary knowledge and techniques, so it helps us feel confident we are getting the best advice possible. She shares with us different options, so we can choose what recommendation we want to follow. While there is an additional mobile fee to have her come to our house that we find to be completely worth it, and I hope anyone reading this review would believe the same. Not only is it convenient, but our girls are less stressed since they are in their home environment vs. the who-knows-what-is-happening at the local vet, AND it also eliminates the possibility of them contracting something from another patient at an office location. I have been on the board of local animal rescue organization and had to deal with over a dozen premier vets in the extended metro DC area, so I feel somewhat qualified to share my perspective - Dr. Moulton provides exceptional service, advice, and care for four-legged companions and peace of mind for their owners. Highly recommended by us as well as our fur babies!
