Basic accommodations
Centro MotelAll the little touches that showed that they cared. Better than average toiletries, bathrobes and even a doggie blanket. Located on the west side of the city for a hard start to the mountains, but also convenient to major routes around town.

A hidden gem
Spice Joint LoungeUnique menu with a Jamaican twist. The service was very friendly and the food is exceptional. The Fireball sandwich was one of the best things I have ever eaten.

Great meal, dog friendly
Villa Grande RanchUnique Tex-Mex experience. The good was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Patio was closed - it was 100 degrees at 7pm - so they let us sit inside with the dog.
