Small Outdoor Space w/ Dog-Loving Staff
Lafayette Brewing CompanyLBC is a great place to try out with your dog. Their outdoor space is somewhat limited, but you get a nice view of downtown Main Street. The food and beer is quite good - it's been really improved from several years ago. The staff is some of the best in town - always very welcoming to us and our dog.
Upscale Dining with your Pup
RedSeven Bar and GrillRed 7 has a pretty good size patio, though at busy times you may have to wait for a table outdoors. As someone else mentioned, you cannot reserve the patio, but that seems to be true for every restaurant for some reason. Just plan for a potential short wait. We've only had to wait once and the hostess was kind enough to provide us with menus to glance at.
Their food and cocktails are pretty great - especially if you're looking for something a bit classier. I'd recommend their lettuce wraps. Never had a bad experience here.
Covered Patio for your Pooch
BRU Burger Bar LafayetteBru Burger is an Indiana chain that's a good place to go if the weather might not hold out for you. The patio is covered, so they continue serving out there even in the rain! The burgers are really good, though much more expensive than you'll find elsewhere in town. (Expect to pay a min of $16-$18 per person not including drinks.) The staff is always friendly, and the food is always good. -1 "bone" just due to the price and that it's not a true Lafayette-based restaurant.
Dog Friendly Indoor and Out!
The Spot TavernThe Spot has one of the best outdoor areas in the city, but since there is no kitchen, your dog is welcome in the bar with you as well. They do have an outdoor pizza oven which they serve delicious pizza from until sunset (or whenever they feel like closing - often earlier.) Please note the pizza hours are odd, so you may want to call ahead if you're expecting food.
Great Food and Beer
People's Brewing CompanyOur dog loves going to People's, as do we! The staff are very friendly and will provide your dog with a water bowl. Their patio usually has space with several large picnic tables.
The food and beer is fantastic. I highly recommend the Blackened Chicken Pita (for those who like spicy food) and the nachos. They have a large variety of beers - including NAs and seltzers. They only serve their own brews, but have something you're bound to enjoy. Drink local!
Nice Outdoor Area for Dogs
Teays River Brewing & Public HouseWe love Teay's River - the food, the beer, and that we can bring our dog! Their outdoor area has somewhat limited seating, but it's not usually an issue. You'll likely see other dogs here as well as it's a hot spot for dog owners.
Large Dog Friendly Patio
Digby'sDigby's is our go-to when we're with our dog. The staff is very friendly with our dogs and provide water bowls. The food is solid and has an expansive enough menu for everyone. It can get crowded on nice weather weekends and evenings, so consider that if you have a nervous/barking dog.
