Fabulous location!
Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland CreekThis is a nice hotel steps away from the theatres and downtown shopping. They have covered parking and a lovely patio with green grass and shade and a lovely fountain. The breakfast was adequate, if uninspired (typical mid-range hotel offerings). The linens were a bit worn, but the freshly washed coverlet and down blanket were appreciated and the bed was comfortable. We’d stay here again.

A river in your back yard!!
Yosemite View LodgeWhat a fabulous location! You can’t get any closer to Yosemite, and there is a huge roaring stream right in your backyard. The sounds of that river made for good sleeping. And our bottom floor room had a fenced patio where the dogs could play while we sat at the table under an umbrella. The room had a small kitchenette and the restaurant and bar or a short walk away. Although the prices are comparable, this isn’t the Ritz Carlton, but it was clean, had everything we needed, and we would stay here again. I would have given it a full five bones had there been an off leash area for the dogs who unfortunately practically lived in the car for the two days we were enjoying the park. You can’t take them anywhere but around the parking lots, so a little running and rolling in the grass time at the hotel would have been truly appreciated by the dogs and by us.
