Great Stay
Drury Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh DowntownEasy and pleasant overnight stay on the 4th of July. We loved everything about this hotel from the valet and bellhop, to the clean, quiet and comfortable rooms and easy check-out. A fantastic big-dog friendly chain like the Drury Inn is a welcome relief when you're on a road trip with your mutt like we are. This particular location and its friendly helpful staff was just what this road-weary family needed. We'll definitely look for this chain when traveling in the future.
Just ok
Kimpton Banneker Hotel an IHG HotelPaper thin walls. We were kept up well past 3am by a loud family with a very unhappy toddler...Our room on 3 was very dated and worn. Tiny bathroom but it did have great complimentary soap/shampoo & conditioner. What appears to be a retro-chic decor (think Atlantic City) could really use an update but the bed was clean and comfortable and the hotel is big dog friendly. We arrived exhausted and late at night, so we paid $50 to valet with the hotel. Fees and taxes drove the total price up significantly from the advertised price. Check-in/out was quick and painless as was the valet parking.
