No pet rooms
Summerset Hotel and Suites Rapid City WestI was traveling with two dogs and an emotional support dog of my mom’s who was also with me and has dementia. We arrived at 9:30 pm to find out they didn’t have any pet rooms left. The hotel ended up giving us a room that had a broken AC/Heater and several other small broken items. For not leaving us stranded without a room I gave them 3 bones, but it was an extraordinarily rough experience. A I won’t stay at this hotel again and I make the cross country trip from Virginia to Montana at least once a year with dogs in tow.
Love Murdo
Best Western Graham'sI just love this small town. They have great food and a park with a pond to walk your dog. The hotel is a drive up and park next to your rooms door. It is super convenient. The rooms are clean and nice. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Have stayed here the last three years when I drove across the country. It’s now a must on my list.
Great staff but challenges
Kimpton Schofield Hotel an IHG HotelThe hotel staff was amazing and very helpful. This isn’t really the best hotel if you are passing through or traveling across the country with dogs. There was not a bellman on staff to help with bags, which was challenging when I had to valet the car, room on the 7th floor, needed the cart, and had two big dogs. The manager helped me with the cart out of the kindness. There is also no grass anywhere near the hotel and my dogs didn’t like the small mulch spot about a block away. Also while the staff was fantastic about my dogs others staying at the hotel were not and very judgmental. This is a destination hotel if you have dogs.
