Cone of shame for owner non-involvement needed
Central Park Dog ParkBrought Our 10 month old Golden Retriever here to let out some energy. We normally go to our town dog park, but we were evacuated due to fires. We ended up staying nearby . All he likes to do is run after the ball we throw and bring it back to do again, and again and again. On our second visit Sat evening about 7 pm he was attacked by a very large black dog. Our guy tried to get away several times by chasing his ball and returning to our feet, but the other dog was relentless. No owner in sight. The attacker went after our pup ended up injuring him we would find out after leaving the park. The attack stopped when the dogs owner pulled him off our guy. He didn’t ask if our crying pup was hurt or say sorry . The dog went on to attack another dog while we were there. We got back to ou hotel and found a bloody puncture wound on our pups chest! Needless to say many hours and dollars later our guy is wearing the cone of shame with a couple of staples in his tooth puncture wound. How do we get bad dog owners to not spoil things for everyone else?
Evacuation time
Dog Park at Ed Levin ParkWe evacuated our home in SC mountains due to fire. Our 10 month old Golden had a wonderful time running and chasing his ball. We went 2 days, at different times and had the place to ourselves. This was fine for him because all he wants to do is chase his ball. The afternoon breeze was lovely on a warm day.
