A hidden gem!
HogsHead Kitchen and Wine BarHogshead Kitchen is rapidly becoming a “go to” on our annual trip to HHI. The food is OUTSTANDING, the friendliness of the staff top notch and their accommodations for our two furry friends was a true joy. I trust that the Gorgonzola and bacon covered chips were calorie free… at least I keep telling myself that! And the red snapper on a corn risotto was mouth watering.
I can’t encourage vacationers to take the time to enjoy a special meal with your dogs and visit the Hogshead Kitchen.
Wow!
The CottageI knew that this was going to be special when the wait staff provided a menu for our dogs before they provided us with our own menus. Bluffton, as a whole is a dog-friendly town, and The Cottage epitomized everything about that. While we were sitting outside on a very hot day, the seating was covered with a pleasant fan blowing to keep us cool. The food was first rate, the staff was friendly and warm to our dogs… and the beer was tasty. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!
Wonderful in past years… more restrictions this year
The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & SpaThe Westin has been our “go to” at HHI for nearly 20 years. We have always brought our dogs and they were always made to feel welcome. This year, though, we were told the rules have changed and dogs are no longer permitted on the pool deck. With the restrictions on being on the beach during the day, the inability to leave them alone in the room, and no longer welcome by the pool, we will stop coming here.
