You get what you pay for

The hotel itself was nice for what you pay for. There was value for the price and the rooms themselves. We had an issue with the toilet and the guy came and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Customer service was fabulous and for a no frills cheap room it was great.

However, the hotel is "rough around the edges" in terms of location. We witnessed prositution (and one of the rooms that these acts were in was the room above us) and the back side of the hotel was littered with homelessness. We had a few homeless people try to bum stuff from us when we went outside.

The hotel still gets 4 bones even though we didn't get any sleep because the rooms were clean, customer service was great, and the rooms had microwave/fridge, which we were NOT expecting for the room rate we paid. The beds were also decently enough comfortable as well.

If I have to evacuate again, I'd probably choose another location - but if I needed a cheap pet friendly room in Texarkana again, I would consider staying again - just locking myself in the room to avoid the unpleasantries outside.
