Very basic but clean
Downtown Inn and SuitesI've stayed here many times. The staff can be curt or friendly but they usually warm up if you are nice and genuine. The rooms are basic. The breakfast is basic. The area for dogs to relieve themselves is very small but Asheville is a very dog friendly place so that’s not too much of a problem. Location is awesome. Some mentioned homeless people - that’s EVERYWHERE in downtown Asheville. Great music, food, beer all within a short walk. I’ve never felt unsafe here. Street noise can be anything from nonexistent to loud and raucous.
