Welcomed my Dog
Hotel Focus SFOMy dog enjoyed his stay. I also was pleased. The hotel room was clean and there was a Keurig with teas and coffees complimentary in the room. It took a few minutes for the shower water to heat up, but when it did, it was a nice temperature and there were nice dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Free continental breakfast in the morning and they have a nice outdoor area with chairs and fire pits (although the fire pits were covered when I stayed there). There wasn't anything special for dogs that I could see, but I am thankful that he was welcomed.
Fee for Pet to Ride
MUNII would have given Muni a 4/5 but for the fact that I read that you have to buy a ticket for your pets for the same value as your own and they cannot ride between 3 pm. to 7 pm. I do not think that BART has the same rule.
Cute Hotel in Good Location
Hotel TritonLet's face it! If you are going to get a hotel off of Union Square in San Francisco, expect to pay an arm and a leg (or a paw and a tail). This place is reasonably priced and has a European bohemian look to it. The only downside is that it was loud- I heard barking at night because I was on a pet friendly floor. But complaining about barking at a pet friendly hotel is like going to a movie theatre on "baby nite" with your infant and then complaining you could not enjoy the movie because of all the crying. This is a place for dog lovers to take their pets. Your dog will bark. Your neighbors' dog will bark (and pee on the carpet right in front of your hotel room door). I am sure the hotel cleans the bedding and carpets after each doggie guest leaves.
