Not a good night’s rest

This was my third stay at this particular hotel . We won’t be back . Prior stays were ok but this time the room was not clean , smelled bad ( unclean - doggy smell ) and the plumbing wasn’t working properly . When I notified the front desk upon check out ( in answer to the standard “ was everything ok ?” , I told the individual of my concerns . She said she was sorry and would have maintenance “ look into it”. I probably should have pressed for some type of consideration ( reduction in charges / eliminate charges ) , but I didn’t think it would do any good .
This property needs better oversight of their cleaning and maintenance protocols .
