We just got a rescue pup. I said I’d never have another puppy-only dogs over 2 years old- but here I am with a 7 month old Catahoula/lab mix and she is crazy! But we love her already! Can’t even stand the thought of traveling without her for a few days- so we’re bringing her along!

Nice stop over
Lamplighter LodgeStaff was friendly and accommodating, property was recently updated, nice fenced in area for dogs.
It was a fine place to stay
Candlewood Suites Nashville - Metro Center an IHG HotelThe hotel was fine. Room was nice, clean, comfortable beds. There was no designated place to take the dog out and nothing nearby as far as food so you have to drive a few miles to even get coffee so the location wasn’t great but overall the stay was fine.
Just OK
La Quinta by Wyndham FlagstaffThe hotel was comfortable enough but it was expensive. For that, I expect staff to be a little more accommodating when I arrive. I always spell my last name bc people often think it starts with a different letter than it does. When I arrived, I literally heard them tell the guy next to me they couldn’t find his reservation. Two seconds later they told me the same thing. We had driven 9 hours for the second day in a row with a dog and a 6 year old. I don’t overreact in these situations so I just pulled out my phone to show her the Fido reservation. As I’m doing that, she says again, “Nope, no reservations at all under ‘S’.” Then we got it all cleared up. The guy next to me was still working his out when I left. No apologies, no nothing. Really acted like she didn’t care at all. The shower curtain smelled like mildew which bothered me due to the price other room but other than that, the dog area was clean and the beds were comfy.
Loved the dog park next door
Aloft Oklahoma City Downtown BricktownTraveling across the country, this was probably our best stay. Not only was the hotel really nice but being right next to the dog park meant that in an 18 hour time span I took my puppy 3 times. She was so well behaved at the hotel and on the road as a result of being exhausted!
