Prarie Wolf Slough

Prairie Wolf Dog Park

My Boxer and i have been going here for several years now, there are always plenty of dogs to socialize with (weekends is amateurs hour, take advisement, go early or late), or there is enough acreage to find some space to yourselves for being alone. This land is a slough, so if we’ve had wet weather (or it’s early in the spring, when the frozen ground is melting) you may want to bring towels to clean your dog. There is a well with a pump on the land (left of the dog gates when you’re facing into the park) but it is intermittently shut off during colder months. There is a big pond on the land, but some owners have experienced some skin irritation for their pups from the water, so i suggest thoroughly rinsing your dog after a good session in the pond. This is our favorite park in the area, and we have traveled across the U.S. and back a couple of times together, I would stack this park against any that we have found on our travels... enjoy, and be a responsible owner.
