Expensive for What You Get

The La Quinta Portland ME was clean and the staff was friendly. It’s located in a semi-industrial part of Portland, across from an H T Hood dairy plant and a working rail line. Then there’s the nearby helicopter-pad. The rooms are clean, but sparse. The hotel was full, but noise was not a problem. All in all, we thought the price was high for a very basic motel in a not-too-picturesque setting. But, then again, this is Portland, ME in August...
