Dog hair…they care!

I went here w my friend for an early dinner and brought my maltipoo puppy to eat outside w us. It was a hot day and we had just come from walking. I asked for a small tin to put water in for my dog, which normally restaurants that are dog friendly automatically offer/bring. That wasn’t a big deal though, (they brought him the water) it was what the waiter said after that really put me off. The waiter said “make sure your dog doesn’t shake” which confused me but I think maybe his English was a little rocky. However when I asked for clarification he said if the dog shakes and his hair gets in someone’s food, I am responsible for paying for their food. It was the weirdest thing I had heard and I was quite offended to be honest. My friend and I were the only people outside eating aside for one couple that was not close to our table, and they were paying their tab. My dog is a 7lb puppy and he’s hypoallergenic so he doesn’t shed anyway. The way that this message was delivered to me at the very start of our experience here made me feel like this establishment is not a dog friendly place.
