Trendy but comfy for family & pup
TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh LawrencevilleService was great, location was great, lots of little cafes walkable nearby. Stayed in the family room, kids loved the bunk beds. The only reason for 4 bones instead of 5 is the hotels policy not to allow dogs to stay in room unattended. Ours would have been fine in his crate while we went out to dinner, but had to order in instead. Not ideal.
Nice for people, heaven for dogs
La Quinta by Wyndham North PlatteThis is the most modern, clean, amenity-generous La Quinta we’ve visited; the kids enjoyed the pool, we loved breakfast by the waterfall out back. Our pup LOVED every minute of the doggy yard (fenced, clean, off-leash fun), treats at the front desk, and dozens of friends walking the hallways. Great place to stay.
OK in a pinch, not great
Econo Lodge Inn & Suites - Des Moines/Merle Hays RoadOne bone for easy on/off to I80, one bone for the newly remodeled room and friendly front desk staff. The years of wear show through; stale smoke smell lingers; building is in terrible shape; neighborhood is sketchy. We will look for another option next time we pass through.
Staff couldn’t be more welcoming
Kinzie HotelExcellent location. Not super fancy, but trendy, clean, & comfortable for our family w kids and dog. Staff were so kind and helpful, even just passing in the hallway they were professional and welcoming.
