Welcoming and ideal for dogs

This was literally a port in a storm for us; we stayed an extra night because of Hurricane Hilary, which made our onward journey too hazardous. Although ideal for a single-night stay, the rooms here were cheery and comfortable enough, and the overall amenities (and service) so strong, that a full day and a second night were certainly no punishment. For a dog owner, especially if your four-legged friend is skittish, the fact that each room is approached from the outside—no corridors with people, carts, cases, and the ravages of room service or pizza-delivery trash left temptingly on hand—is a godsend. Our dog was instantly comfortable, and only a couple of times on defensive alert, rather half-heartedly. Good opportunities for walks on quiet streets round about, too. All in all a real gem.
