A little ruff

The Arbors at Island Landing property is in what I would consider the epicenter of Pigeon Forge. If you want to be within walking distance of many of the main attractions and don't require much of nothing else for your stay or your pet this would be a location of choice. That said, the property is a little run down. They still use old brass keys for room access and don't offer many updated amenities in room. The rooms are spacious but need lots of updating. It seems the location is trying to do some refurbishing but it still has a long way to go.

They also advertise breakfast included in your rate but what they don't mention is to get this breakfast you have to walk or drive across the main four lane roadway in Pigeon Forge to a location across the street to use a voucher to get the breakfast. It is not located on site. The main roadway in Pigeon Forge is packed with cars most of the day and isn't the easiest to cross most of the time. Where it is a pet friendly hotel for dogs 50lbs or less, and my two furry kiddos are a little over 50lbs, it does seem the property is lacking on some pet friendly details. There is a really big grass area to walk your furries right beside the river that offers a pet clean up station, but there is no enclosed space to let them off leash to run. Be aware in the big grassy area there are many, many geese wondering around dropping lots of geese poop so your feet as well as your pets are going to get pretty yucky, and the geese could also pose a problem if your pet is easily distracted.

The pet fee was reasonable, $15 per pet per day, but it would be nice if the location recognized the pets more by offer a pet welcome bag or something along those lines. In summary, if you want an economical location to stay that is not really up-to-date where your pets can just hangout while you are out and about then this is a place for you. If you're looking for something that offers more in the way of hotel amenities, updated property and more pet specific I would not recommend this location.
