Good, but with a caveat

There are many good about this hotel--the location is perfection, right in the heart of Carmel so everything is within an easy walking distance. They are indeed dog friendly and the staff there were very helpful and accommodating. Excellent service all around and lots of parking on site. The rooms were very clean. With the exception of the bed which was very comfortable, the rooms are very dated and in need of an update (or at least the room I was in). It was very foggy and damp in Carmel and the room felt very humid and sticky the entire time I was there. There was no AC to dispel the humidity so that was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Expensive rates for a mid-week stay, but I don't fault them for that--that appears to be the going rate range for staying in the center of Carmel.
