Very Attractive Property

This didn't appear as the typical Motel 6 property. It has a FORT motif on a hilltop with cannons all around. The grounds are well kept, very nice for walking a dog. We were given a warm greeting and all our needs were accommodated by the staff. All the common areas as well as our room were very clean and tidy. My only concerns were with our particular room. Although the size and layout were nice, there were a few maintenance issues. The A/C unit was missing some panels and didn't really cool as I would have liked. With a nice oval toilet they installed an ill-fitted round seat. The bathtub was not well caulked so water could easily leak into the wall. The battery was obviously removed from the smoke alarm, perhaps to silence the low-battery alarm. And there were minimal working lights, as various fixtures had non-working or missing bulbs. I realize that guests sometimes take such items as they leave, but this list seems more like maintenance issues. Overall, I would stay here again.
