Not for me
Dog Park at West Hills County ParkSince the park is fenced in, a lot of people don’t really pay attention to their dogs and a lot of rough play goes on, which is fine, but not when there’s 7 dogs on top of and crushing my poor dog. These are more wrestle oriented dogs, and my dog is more into playing chase. Brought my dog there once and she got dog piled constantly for the entire time I was over there, she also got growled at and almost bitten if she wasn’t fast enough to get away. Maybe it was an isolated event, but I don’t think I’ll ever be back. Don’t bring your dog to a dog park if you know they are aggressive.

Great beach!
Port Jefferson HarborVery nice beach for both dogs and their owners! It has been very clean the two times I’ve been there which is always important when going somewhere with dogs. Nice owners and nice dogs, and the town nearby has great seafood.

One of my favorites!
Coindre HallSaw a review about aggressive dogs and I’m going to tell you right now that I go there multiple times a week and not once has my dog encountered an off leash dog that was aggressive. Leashed dogs are a different story, so I leash up my dog when a leashed dog comes over until I am able to ask the owner if they’re friendly. Since the place is not fenced in, owners are 99% of the time very attentive of their dogs and what they’re doing. Though I do have to say be careful because they have started to fine people for having their dogs off leash which is why I am leaving 4 stars, not 5. Otherwise it’s a great place to bring your pet!
