Large grassy area, but not great overall

I usually don’t call rude people out, but the woman at the front desk was miserable, despite my attempt to be friendly. I had read another review of updated rooms with no carpet, which I requested in my reservation, but she said they didn’t have any rooms without carpet. Used the back stairway to take the dogs out, and it hadn’t looked like it had been vacuumed in years. The 2nd floor hallway also smelled bad. Room was ok, just tired. Bed was comfortable. Nice grassy area for the dogs. Area felt safe.
