Dreadful

Checked in late at night. My experience at the desk, was like a dream sequence from Twin Peaks. I spent ten minutes, waiting for this very strange character to conduct a phone conversation with his ‘boss’, as he couldn’t find any evidence of the booking I made through BringFido. After confirming that the booking had been made, he then told me the the $15 pet fee, that is displayed on the BringFido site, was actually $25. Also, the $62 room, was now a $79 room.

I was also told, in no uncertain terms, that BringFido, Booking.com, or whatever, had no authority over room and pet prices, and the Sands Motel would set prices, as they pleased. I was told that my dog should “No pee-pee”, as it would cost $2500 to get the room cleaned…..a room that had holes in the wall, probably from vandalism, and had no sink plug.

Weird people were in and out of other rooms, after midnight, with music beating out from our none-too-considerate neighbors. The surrounding area was grim. A huge dumpster was the view from the window, and the alleyway outside this single-story building, was littered with broken glass and junk.
We wouldn’t, in a million years, stay here again. Regards.
