Good for the compared prices in the area
Howard Johnson by Wyndham Winter Haven FLHonestly I was hesitant to book this place because it had a bad review on here but I chose to check google and the place seemed to be doing well as of recently so I booked it. This place was clean and comfortable and honestly that’s all you can ask for. Glad we stopped for sure.
If you have a problem with your food you’ll have one with Russle too
HarborsideWhen we first got there the host (Cory) was super sweet and told us that the table would be ready soon they just needed to clean the table. We walked to the back and waited as it was busy and we didn’t want to wait near the front door. They got us seated and then Gabby came over and she was an awesome server. I’d give her a 5 stars alone if I could. My experience started to turn sour when we started getting our food. The salad was more just lettuce and olives then anything else so that wasn’t very appetizing. Finally my plate came out which I order a 10oz rare steak. I got maybe an 8oz steak that was cooked well done. I wasn’t going to say anything but my girlfriend saw I was disappointed so she said something. Gabby apologized and went inside to tell them I needed a new one. After she ran inside the manager Russle came out and asked me to cut the new steak. He asked if the steak was the right temperature which I replied with yes. He walks away towards the door. Now the new steak was great in size but was pretty much gray in color and was super salty. He walked away before I could take a bite but I did and as you can imagine I spit it out. Now I know he saw me spit it out because we made eye contact as he was going into the door. He didn’t bother to come out and ask if it was okay he just acted like he didn’t see it. Gabby then proceeds to ask how the steak is. Now they screwed up once I really didn’t want to say they screwed up again. So again my girlfriend says no it’s not good. She asked if I would like another one made which I replied with a no. I shouldn’t have to ask 3 times to get a rare steak. The thing is barley cooked how could you mess that up?! Anywaysss so Russle comes out again. He comes on extremely strong. Strong enough my dog even growled at him. He then proceeded to say “Next time let me know.” Nobody likes to be a Karen and I’m not a confrontational person so I just said okay and broke eye contact. He then proceeded to tell me he’s not going to give me a full refund because I gave it to my dog. I spoke to waitress prior who said it was okay because it goes in the trash anyways. Now why would you throw out two steaks when there’s a dog there? Literally no purpose what’s so ever. It’s a waste of food. He made the situation a 1000x worse and Russle is the reason I would never go back. Now Cory came back out to us as he was clearing up our table and made the situation so much better. Which is why I decided to give 2 stars instead of one. The food was awful but Gabby and Cory made my experience better and that I’m grateful for that. As for Russle, you’re a general manager. Do better. Seriously. I’m embarrassed for you. The fact your waitress and your host do a a better job at taking care of your guest in a bad experience then you do when that’s your ONLY purpose there is terrible. I hope they replace you with someone who actually shows compassion to people. Over all won’t come again. Thanks for nothing Russle.
Overall great area
Quality Inn & Suites DawsonvilleStaff was friendly and the room was clean. The only problems I had was the door outside wouldn’t open with a key for the dogs.
Super sweet staff
Best Western Point SouthWe had a great experience here. When we got there the staff was super sweet and even gave our dogs treats. Our room was a bit hard to find but when we did it was quiet and calming. The room was clean for the most part. The only reason I put 4 bones is because under our toilet seat there was a hair that looked awfully like a pube and some pee. The other thing we didn’t enjoy was the fact the shower curtain didn’t hold any water in. So the entire bathroom floor got soaked because there wasn’t a shower liner. Other than that, it wasn't an awful experience.

Knights Inn YemasseeJokes aside this place was a complete dump. The lobby smelled like cigarettes. When we got to our room there were stains on everything. I’m not exaggerating, there were stains on the sheets, the chairs, the rug, the walls, and somehow even the outlets. Our microwave was yellow. The fridge wasn’t clean at all, there was a spill in the fridge. We left as soon as we could. Go a minute down the road to something nicer, it’ll be worth it.

Comfort Inn Asheville AirportThis place was super awesome. The staff were super friendly, the rooms were clean as well as bathrooms. I’d go again for sure :)
Over all great experience
Frescos Southern Kitchen & BarMy first day coming here was today. The staff were super sweet and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. They were pet friendly so I was able to bring my dog which is awesome. They even had bones for him and brought out water. The only thing I would say I didn’t necessarily like is I felt the waitress could of been a bit more attentive but I understand it’s easy to get distracted so I didn’t take it personally. The other thing I didn’t like was the fact our card was denied because of the system they have. I spoke to the waitress and she said their system is very old so that occasionally this happens. To be safe we called our bank and they said it was on their end as we had enough funds. Over all though our experience was good and I’d go again, just maybe with cash or just hav multiple cards on me (which I normally do anyways.)
