Amazing food
17th Street BarbecueThe nachos and bread pudding were scrumptious, both for dinner and leftovers.
Only challenge here was no shade on the patio - dogs have to be on the patio and you order online, or maybe you had to order online because they were so busy inside.
Sounds like pre-Covid it was a little bit more dog friendly. But again the food was amazing! If I’m back there I will definitely go back and just plan on doing a to-go order and eating at a hotel or the Mandala Gardens.

Ok Unless You Have an Allergy To Smoke
Americas Best Value Inn Marion ILFirst, it was really nice to pay only a small fee for my Chihuahua. and, staff were cordial. The one cleaning lady was very helpful. My biggest complaint was that though it was a non-smoking room for dogs, with an outside door, it really stunk like smoke. The desk staff said because the walls are thin. I decided to stay since I haven’t stayed in a smokey place in a long time, but halfway through the night I woke up wondering if I had Covid since I was coughing, hard to breathe, headachy. I took my Chihuahua and we slept the rest of the night in my car and woke up in the morning with no cough, no headache and breathing just fine. So I’m sure it was my allergy. I had been a little concerned when I saw what appeared to be bullet holes in the room door

Gorgeous meditation
Mandala Gardenslovely, peaceful walk with my Chihuahua. Since the purpose of this meditative garden is not dog focused there understandably isn’t water or doggy bags, so bring your own. - that’s the only reason I don’t give it five bones.
