An Actual Beach for Dogs
Bonita Beach Dog ParkOur two dogs had a great time at their first ever dog beach. It's a bit of a hike to get back to the beach, especially when you are carrying a bunch of stuff with you. Plus, the tide gets high in the afternoon, which floods portions of the trail in knee-high water. However, being on a secluded beach meant our dogs could run off leash without fear of them leaving our sight. One complaint I had was the number of dog poop bags people placed all around the beach. I wish the county would install a trash bin for dog waste to keep the beach clean.
Very Accomodating
Beach Buddy ToursWe had an awesome time with Captain John on the three hour tour. They are very dog friendly and John was accommodating of our two dogs, one of which was a senior dog with mobility issues. He brought blankets for the dogs to lay on and was more than happy to let the dogs sit wherever they felt comfortable. It was cold out on the day we went, and the wildlife was being a bit shy, but we had a very enjoyable and memorable experience. We even had a baby dolphin playing with us at one point with its mom watching close by. I highly recommend booking a trip the next time you find yourself in the area!
Friendly and Accomodating Staff
Homewood Suites by Hilton Bonita SpringsThis is probably the best dog-friendly hotel I've stayed in. The staff is super friendly and were very accommodating to our two dogs. They even let their staff bring in their dogs and have free dog treats at the front desk. I also appreciate that they don't charge an arm and leg for their pet fee like some hotels in the area.
