Clean room, but pet policy not great

We did not read the pet policy fully, and we ended up not being able to leave our dog in the room even to go out for lunch/dinner. As restaurants do not accept dogs, and there is no patios at this time of the year, we had to pay a pet fee in my in-laws hotel to be able to leave our dog there. If they weren't here we would consider changing the hotel.
