Great room, walkable location
City Center MotelIt was so nice to be able to bring luggage into the room so easily — just a few steps from our car! Clearly the room had been updated & was very comfortable. The only thing missing was another reading light for the bed & one behind the chair since we’re both avid readers. We enjoyed walking to nearby coffee shops & restaurants!
Spacious room
RiverTree Inn & SuitesNot one of the best stays in a month-long road trip, but got better when other guests finally quieted down after 10 pm. My husband thinks the sliding glass doors opening to the parking lot encouraged people to socialize outside, and it was noisy! Our dog understandably reacted to the noise by barking. Since those sliding doors don’t lead to an enclosed patio with seating, why even have them? They make sense from poolside rooms, but not from rooms facing the parking lot! Our room was clearly accessible for wheelchair users, making it more spacious for us. We won’t complain about that!
Quiet & clean
Best Western Plus Williston Hotel & SuitesWe were only here 1 night but find in general that the Best Western Plus hotels are very well run.
Friendly staff & spacious room!
Best Western Plus Kelly Inn & SuitesThis is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in so far on our month-long coast-to-coast road trip. The hotel staff honored our request for an early check in, & we were very comfortable in the attractive lobby while we waited. The room was large & well-lit. Great stay!
Beautiful location
Judith Mountain LodgeIt was a treat to stay in this lodge as we made our way home from the east coast. Nestled at the base of some wooded mountains, it is a quiet & peaceful place to stay. Lots of good food set out for breakfast. The kitchen is undergoing a remodel & is not serving dinner for now.
Great location
Best Western Plus Como Park HotelThis hotel worked out fine for the most part, and we enjoyed seeing how this historic building had been remodeled to contain a modern hotel. However, the luggage cart didn’t work well, there wasn’t a reading light on both sides of the bed, & the room was small.
Great hotel in a perfect location!
Graduate ColumbusWe’ve been to a number of Graduate hotels & really enjoy their creative decor & friendly vibe. The only things we didn’t care for at this one was the lack of free coffee in the lobby, the too-small room for all of our stuff, & the lack of any view whatsoever. We looked out on a mechanical unit just a few feet from the window.
Hotel needs updating
Fort Magruder Historic Williamsburg Trademark by WyndhamWe appreciated the spaciousness of the room & the comfortable bed, but our praise ends there. The WiFi didn’t work on our laptops, & their response was to have us call someone for help. We got no response, & we shouldn’t have had to call anyone! The microwave didn’t work, there was no remote initially for the tv, & the lights blinked off & on in the bathroom because they were burning out. Not enough trash cans, either.
Professionally managed hotel!
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Charleston West an IHG HotelWe were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn in West Charleston. Not exactly a pretty part of town, and there were people drinking in the parking lot, which concerned me, but once we got inside & then into our room, we were very impressed. The lobby is very attractively designed, & our room was very comfortable & nicely decorated as well.
Lousy lodgings
Staybridge Suites Columbus - Worthington an IHG HotelWe will never stay at a Staybridge Suites again; this particular location was not well managed & has turned us off of the chain. Check-in took way too long — a half hour or more. The guests ahead of us had been assigned to a room that the staff knew reeked of marijuana, but they hadn’t reassigned a new room before these guests showed up, & it took a long time for that to be resolved. We then found the suite to look shabby & in need of maintenance. The bathroom sink was cracked, lampshades were crooked, etc. It was clean, just not well maintained.
Great location in La Conner
The La Conner InnEasy to find in town & a great base from which to explore shops & restaurants! Room was spacious, but an area rug would have made it cozier, & the DirectTV didn’t work. Friendly staff & generously supplied continental breakfast
Unique hotel in a great location
Graduate LincolnMy husband, dog & I have stayed in a couple different Graduate hotels & love their spacious rooms decorated in a fun & quirky style. Comfy beds, too! As an Oregonian, I loved seeing that they stock Oregon wine in the pantry fridge just off the lobby. Adjacent parking structure a real plus!
Great host & wonderful inn!
Benton Park InnMy husband, dog & I loved our stay at Benton Park Inn, & just wish we could have stayed another night! We had a big, beautiful & comfortable room to enjoy, & the next morning Dan the innkeeper made us a delicious & filling breakfast. We enjoyed talking to him & other guests before leaving. Finally, if you like old buildings, Benton Park is a delightful neighborhood to explore!
Lacking attention to detail
Element Ewing PrincetonWe always appreciate having a place to stay that accepts dogs, and this one was memorable because of its location close to the Washington Crossing of the Delaware River. However, the room lacked a sufficient # of towels, soap at the kitchenette sink, & the blinds were broken & twisted!
A perfect fit!
Staybridge Suites Davenport an IHG HotelWhen we arrived at the Staybridge Suites, we had some leftover Indian food in our cooler that we wanted to heat up for dinner so were so glad we had a kitchen to do that! Spacious & comfortable suite. A bonus that it was pet friendly.
Wonderful room & location!
