Description
Gator Fest, a family-friendly festival scheduled for Saturday, September 21, has something for everyone including entertainment stages; reptile show and exhibit; games and inflatable toys; crafts and food vendors; dedication of the new Cedar Hall with a free pancake breakfast; the Gator Gait 5K Fun Run; and much more! Gator Fest will have a couple of different activities that are designed to connect people and their dogs in a fun way. Bring your doggie friends to enjoy our miles of dog and people friendly trails! We are also hosting a dog adoption event simultaneously where families and potential adopters can pick out an adoptable dog and take them on a walk before adopting. Our hope is to find homes for 25 dogs in one day. We are working with local rescue organizations, humane societies and dog 4-H clubs to help facilitate the event. Also, we are going to have “Pups on Parade”, a doggie parade to kick-off the entertainment at our main stage. We are going to award the “People’s Choice” to the most popular dog on parade.
