Annual Hike on the Dike

Join West Columbia Gorge Humane Society (WCGHS) for the 7th annual Hike on the Dike to help raise money for our local no-kill shelter. Participants can register online now at www.wcghs.org, or on-site the day of the event. The event features a 2.77 mile walk along the Columbia River and benefits the WCGHS, a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and ending unnecessary euthanasia of all healthy or treatable companion animals and finding them permanent, loving homes. This year a 5k and 10k run will added as well. Onsite participant registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with the 10k run at 10:30, the 5k run at 11:15, and the walk at 11:30 a.m. at Pendleton Woolen Mills located at 2 Pendleton Way in Washougal, WA. The event features 20+ on-site vendors; free microchip service for the first 50 registered participants; High Expectations Dog Training demonstrations; a police K-9 demonstration; food, and raffle prizes. Bring your dogs and enjoy a day of fun while supporting a great cause. All breeds of well-behaved dogs are welcome. Kids under 16 participate free with a registered adult.
