Pit Bull Appreciation Day is a no-contact community dog event hosted by Blockhead Brigade, a 501c3 nonprofit featuring fun activities and enrichment for your dog, including pack walks, a scavenger hunt, a photo booth, games, raffle, dog adoptions, Day of the Dead Pet Memorial Altar, craft coffee, awesome vendors, pet portraits, community resources and more! All breeds and mixes are welcome, but no dog intros, please.

Justin Rudd and his Community Action Team host one of the biggest Halloween pet events in the world! The parade is expected to include a few hundred kids and adults in costumes, followed by more than 450 costumed dogs with handlers. A few thousand human gawkers will line the parade route, including a panel of distinguished judges that will choose a few dozen human and canine costume winners. Haute Dogs will raise thousands for spay/neuter programs, adoption/rescue groups, Operation Santa Paws and other Long Beach service projects.

This pet-friendly festival is perfect for a fun afternoon with your four-legged friend! Nestled along the scenic waterfront of Marine Stadium, this show is the largest and longest-running event in the series, featuring a vibrant mix of local makers, junior artists, live music, artisan food vendors, food trucks, and hands-on DIY crafting activities.

This dog-friendly meet-up is hosted by the Downtown Long Beach Alliance. Dog owners bring their leashed pups for a short group walk through downtown Long Beach to socialize and connect with other dog owners. This event occurs on the first Tuesday of every month at either 5 PM or 6 PM, depending on the season. Check their website for current schedule.
