Pet Reservations
Nordwind requires you to bring an animal passport and a printed route receipt for domestic flights. For international flights, you'll need an animal passport, a route receipt, a Veterinary Certificate (valid for 5 days after its issuance and until the beginning of the animal transfer), and a Veterinary Certificate in the international format. On each flight, Nordwind only accepts 4 cages with non-antagonistic pets or 2 cages with antagonistic pets, so you should contact the Customer Service Team at (+7) (495) 730-43-30 as soon as your travel arrangements are confirmed.
Pets in the Cabin
Dogs, cats, canaries, and shell parakeets are accepted in the cabin on Nordwind flights if the pet and carrier's combined weight does not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). The fee for pets being transported domestically between 2 Russian cities is 2000 RUB. The rest of the fees are determined by which tariff the country fits into: Tariff Zone 1 (Russia and Armenia, Bulgaria, Iran, Poland, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) has a fee of 35 EUR; Tariff Zone 2 (between the Russian Federation and Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Jordan, Italy, Spain, Malta, Israel, Egypt, and Portugal) has a fee of 50 EUR; Tariff Zone 3 (between the Russian Federation and Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and any state that is not on this list); and Tariff Zone 4 (between the Russian Federation and Thailand, Vietnam, China, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the countries of the Western Hemisphere) has a fee of 100 EUR.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers should not exceed 8" x 23" x 14" (20 cm x 60 cm x 35 cm). They should suit your pet's dimensions and allow them to move comfortably around inside. During the flight, the carrier should be placed underneath the seat in front of you. If you're traveling with a bird, cages must be covered with a durable lightproof sheet.
