Love La Quinta, hate this location
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Spokane DowntownMy dog & I have stayed at several La Quinta hotels recently. The downtown Spokane is very similar in quality and features but it doesn't have a designated area for your pet to relieve itself and is in kind of a scary neighborhood. I live in an urban area and am used to houseless people but there was some major craziness going on in the hotel's parking lot. There was not a security presence although the lot is fenced and well light. The same hotel 6 blocks north would have been great.
Good location & price
Holiday Inn Ontario, an IHG HotelI liked that the pet friendly room had an outside door, it made it easier to lug all our dog accessories in from the car. The room and the lobby had some deferred maintenance. The front desk staff was inexperienced and didn't seem to know the area well. The pet area is unfenced. It had a poop bag dispenser but not garbage can to throw them away. They give out coupons for a free breakfast but the restaurant was too busy. There was just 1 server for 15 tables.
